The Zao Echo Line is a mountain road with a total length of 26 km connecting Zao Town, Miyagi Prefecture and Kamiyama City, Yamagata Prefecture.

Spring is known as a tourist spot where you can enjoy the "snow corridor".

The opening date of 2025 is scheduled to be from 11:00 on April 25 (Fri). ​

On March 13, snow removal work for opening began, and due to the amount of snow more than usual,

Approximately 11 meters of snow is piled up near the summit, and from late April to mid-May immediately after opening,

A "snow corridor" with snow walls over 10 meters high rise on both sides of the road will appear.

This is a natural art that can remove snow accumulated during the winter, and it feels like running a maze of snow!

A scenic spot at an altitude of about 1,600m, the crater lake "Ogama" welcomes visitors with clear air and magnificent mountains.
The crater lake "Migama" has a beautiful contrast with the mountain surface where snow still remains, and is very popular as a shooting spot!

Until mid-May after the opening, the road will be closed at night (17:00 to 8:00).
