Our open-air hot spring, Fudo no Yu, is named after a local legend about a territorial battle between a crab and an eel. You can enjoy two outdoor onsen baths: a cypress bath with free-flowing hot spring water and an aesthetic stone bath next to it. Toogattaonsen is the birthplace of Kokeshi, a traditional craft of the Tohoku region. At the permanent exhibition corner, 5,500 traditional kokeshi and wooden toys from all over the country, including the Togatta traditional kokeshi, are on display by system.
