Zao-cho is known as a famous fruit producing area, and you can enjoy pear picking in autumn.
Pears, whose temperature difference between day and night grow, have a fresh and refreshing sweetness. The luxury of tasting freshly harvested on the spot is an experience unique to pear picking.

Pear picking in Zao
From the vicinity of Zao Town Hall to the entrance of the Togatta area, there are orchards and direct sales outlets along Prefectural Road 12.
It is also called "Fruit Road". Here you can pick fruits from summer to early winter.
The pear, which boasts the highest production volume in Miyagi Castle, is a first-class product in terms of size, sweetness, and freshness.
When pear picking is possible (approximate): Early September to early November
